Heybrook Primary School has been offered the chance to take 50 children from Year 6 to watch a fantastic football match at Old Trafford: Manchester United v Rochdale on Wednesday 25th September 2019. We will be travelling by coach from Heybrook Primary School and children will be accompanied by staff from school at all times. This will be an excellent opportunity for children to witness a competitive professional match between two local teams.

Children need to be at Heybrook Primary School for 17:45 and we are planning on returning back to school for approximately 23:30. This time may change depending on the traffic around the stadium when we depart.  Payments to be made on Parentpay.

Year 3 will be going on an amazing Evacuee Experience day out at the East Lancashire Railway. This is to support our work about World War 2 this half term. We will be getting a coach to Bolton Street Station in Bury, where the children will engage in a variety of evacuee and war themed activities in the transport and art museums. They will also ride on the steam train to Rawtenstall and back, having a picnic on the train.

The cost for this trip is £12 per child – this covers the cost of the train tickets, museum activities and transport. Please make sure your child arrives at school at 8.50am, as we will be leaving on the coaches promptly in the morning. We aim to be back at school at 3.30pm.

To make this visit more memorable we are asking that children come in wearing evacuee style clothes. This does not need to cost you any money, and can be put together using things from your wardrobes or from charity shops.   Jade & Green class will go on Wednesday 25th   September, Emerald will go on Thursday 26th  September.   Payment to be made on Parentpay

We are collecting the Aldi’s ‘Get Set Eat Fresh’ stickers for our school – each time you spend £30 at Aldi you receive one sticker, if we collect 300 stickers we have a chance a winning £20,000 for our school!  Thank you for your support.
