Newsletter 22nd November

We had some special visitors at our Nursery, Owls came to visit.  The children enjoyed touching and holding them.

This week, Year 4 went to the Liverpool Maritime Museum as part of this half term’s learning about migration. They learnt all about migration from Liverpool and the difficult journey that millions of people took to New York. They got to experience what the journey and living conditions would have been like on the boat and even had a chance to dress up! While we there, the children also went to the Titanic exhibition which they found extremely interesting.

School Photographer will be in school on Tuesday 26th November from 3.15 – 6.15pm in the hall.

Key stage 1 football club will be cancelled on this day due to family photographs taking place in the downstairs hall.

Thank you for your support we raised a £664.59 for Children in Need,  The children took part in design a Pudsey T shirt competition, cake sales and wear something spotty! Thank you for your support.

Forest School – Last week we started thinking about what we could hear in our wood.  Over the traffic we could just hear birds sounding an alarm call because they could see us.  As its almost winter lots of the birds’ natural food, such as berries, has already been eaten so we made orange bird feeders- very gooey and messy- with cheese, raisins, bird seed and vegetable fat.  We tied them up in the trees for the birds to find.  Then we played a tig in different bird groups- but we could only run when we heard our groups birdsong played from a book.  I wonder if the birds will have eaten all the food we left out when we check on Friday? – Ellie Two Hoots Outdoor Learning.
