 Sports Premium 2022-23

The School has invested in the PE Curriculum Support Programme or mentoring programme. The tailored work based programme uses mentors who increase skills, knowledge and confidence of teachers in the planning, delivery and assessment of Physical Education. This is a sustainable, long term investment i the quality of Physical Education at Heybrook. It is recognised by the Association for Physical Education.

Furthermore, Heybrook is part of the Rochdale IPLCN which organises a range of inter-school sports activities and friendly matches. Throughout the year, children are given opportunities to partake in sports such as netball, football, athletics, dance and cricket. The Sports Premium funds these opportunities through enabling the employment of TAs to run and support after school clubs, and pays for associated transport costs.
