WELCOME TO HEYBROOK
At Heybrook, we are proud to have served our community in the centre of Rochdale since 1901, welcoming many generations of families into our Heybrook family. We strive to provide the very best standard of education for our children, ensuring that they are fully prepared to be knowledgeable and active global citizens. Working in partnership with the local community, parents and governors, we strive for all of children to be 'happy, healthy, successful and learn together'.
Heybrook is a large and flourishing school with over 700 children and over 100 staff. We have a split site, with a primary school on Park Road and a nursery (with provision for two-year-olds) based nearby on South Street. There are 33 different languages spoken at our school and we feel privileged to celebrate this diversity. Since it's first inspection, Heybrook has consistently been judged as a good school. Our last inspection in 2018 repeated this judgement in every aspect of the school's provision and we continue to build on this work. We are always striving to improve and the children's results in 2022 and predictions for 2023 reflect this relentless ambition. We provide an excellent education to all our children.
We are extremely proud of the work we are doing to develop our curriculum offer so that our children have a thorough understanding of our core values as well as a persistent schema of knowledge that they can add to as they move through our school. We strive to teach knowledge that is relevant for our children's lives and empowers them to participate fully in their local and global communities. Please see our curriculum page for more details on our school's ethos, core values and curriculum.
Our children and families are at the heart of everything we do here at Heybrook. It is with this in mind that we are equally committed to providing a comprehensive framework of pastoral support for all our children, families and staff. We have a pastoral team who support families so that children can make the most of every day. Attending school, being happy and healthy allows them to achieve potential.
